Electric Fatbike

Have you already tried riding an electric fatbike bike? Incredible ride comfort, insane grip and agile handling. This is an experience not to be missed. The electric fatbike is an excellent ride on the mountain terrain of Lapland. Our traditional favorite Pulmankijärventie is a great experience for a bike ride! Utsjoki has hundreds of kilometers of unmarked mountain bike trails, winning detailed activities in the / Cycling section and the Utsjoki tourist website. Again, find a look for cyclists of all levels and best of all – stunning scenery!

We currently have four fatbikes in our selection.

Bikes are located at Lapinrinne 10 (Nuorgam). If necessary, we deliver the bikes to the place of departure and pick them up from the place of return for extra fee.

Things to take for trip

Helmet: you can get a helmet on loan from us, but you can also bring your own.
Glasses: sports glasses or similar glasses to protect the eyes from wind, twigs, debris and bugs.
Gloves: cycling or ski gloves protect your hands and bring comfort to ride.
Clothing: preferably regular technical clothing. It is a good idea to always have a break jacket in the mountain because of the wind. Stiff sole shoes.
Drink and snacks: you can get water from the mountain streams, but you should always have something to drink and something to eat.
Backpack: snacks, spare clothing and other equipment.
Spare parts: pump, inner tube, tire tools and universal tool if you need from us.
Phone: pack watertight, for example in a minigrip bag.
First aid equipment: if necessary, you can get from us with you.

Fatbike

Fatbike is an excellent transport game to the mountain terrain of Lapland. 11 gears and wide tires ensure comfortable cycling moments. Utsjoki has hundreds of kilometers of unmarked mountain bike trails, which you can find out more about in the Activity/Cycling section and on the Utsjoki tourist website. Snowshoes

With snowshoes, you can explore Nuorgam’s nature where there are no trails. We rent Light Snowshoes from Tubbs. Tubbs is known for its high-quality, professional snowshoes with top-class ergonomics.
The snowshoes have easily adjustable bindings and work well with a sturdy hiking boot or winter boot. We recommend a sturdy shoe for snowshoeing. A high stem is useful especially in deep snow.
Snowshoes are included in the rental of snowshoes. We are happy to advise good routes for snowshoeing. When planning a route, keep in mind that snowshoeing is heavier and slower than regular walking. However, snowshoes are good for walking even in deep snow and can also be reached comfortably in steeper places.

Things to take for trip

You should bring a snack for the trip. Cold weather consumes more energy, so be prepared for it. Hot cocoa or juice in a thermos tastes great on a snowshoe trip. Bring a cell phone. In the cold, the battery wears out faster, so you should always charge your cell phone before the trip and keep it warm. It is also advisable to pack spare clothes for breaks in the backpack, as it can easily become cold when stopping for a longer period of time.

Mountain skis

You can get anywhere in the Kaldoaivi wilderness with mountain skis even in summer. We rent light Fischer steel-edged mountain skis. Easy-skin rising hair makes them versatile for off-road use.
Fischer is a sturdy, durable and light lubricated hiking ski. The steel-edged E99 Skin can be equipped with Easy Skin grips that can be easily attached and detached. The combination of gripping surface and click-in-place is unmistakable. Like snow chains, holding hairs can be removed and attached easily and quickly as needed.
The rental of fells includes poles. We are happy to advise good routes for cross-country skiing.
The skis are equipped with EA bindings that can be easily fitted to your hiking boot.
